Working with artist Janet de Wagt

In March Dunedin artist Janet de Wagt spent the day in our classroom helping us create our own special 3-d artworks. We created little nocturnal environments for kiwis and used a camouflaged and transformed soft toy to become a part of our environment. We painted our boxes black and cut viewing slits so we could peek inside to see our kiwis in their night time world. It was lots of fun. We talked about the important concept of re-visiting our work until it gets better and better and is fully completed. Here are some photos of our finished kiwi environments.
